Russian Classes

Over the years I’ve been asked many times, “Why study Russian?”  A Russian friend put it very simply when asked this question: “Look at a map.”  Russia is the largest country in the world, and there are almost 300 million Russian speakers on our planet.  Over a quarter of all scientific literature is published in Russian.  Russia is a country rich in culture.  Arguably, the best literature ever published comes from Russian authors.  Russian composers like Tchaikovsky and Rimsky-Korsakov have captivated us with their beautiful music, ballets, and operas.   Russian architecture simply takes your breath away.  From a practical standpoint, studying Russian, which has a reputation as one of the most difficult languages to learn, stands out on a resume.  There will always be a large number of job applicants who can speak Spanish, but knowing Russian will give you a competitive edge.  What’s to be afraid of?  Come journey with us!
